FAQ
Questions we get
If yours isn’t here, email us. We’ll answer it the same way: straight, and without a sales call attached.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is a flat monthly fee, scoped to your stage. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices. We quote it after we’ve looked at your books, so the number reflects your actual volume instead of a guess.
Do you replace my CPA?
No. We work alongside your tax preparer. We keep the books clean all year and hand them a package they can use at filing time, which usually makes that bill smaller too.
What size business do you work with?
Most of our clients run between $1M and $10M in revenue and have outgrown a bookkeeper, but can’t yet justify a full-time controller or CFO.
Do I have to switch accounting software?
Usually not. We work in what you already have. If the current setup is genuinely holding you back we’ll say so, and we’ll handle the migration if you decide to move.
What do you need to get started?
Access to your accounting file and your bank and card feeds, plus twenty minutes on a call. We do the review and come back with what we found, in plain language.
How long does onboarding take?
Most clients are on a normal monthly close within a cycle or two. If the books are well behind, catching them up is its own piece of work and we’ll scope it separately.
Can I just get the bookkeeping?
Yes. Most clients start with the accounting work and add the CFO side later, when the questions get harder than the reporting.
Are you local?
We’re in Shelton, Connecticut, and work with clients wherever they are. Monthly reviews happen on video unless you’d rather we come to you.
